    F1 mirrors

Cjshaker: I’m not sure, but I believe that the bracket that mounts on the hinge is the only side specific part of the assembly, and that the arms and mirror itself will work on either side. Would you consider parting with the assembly and I could either fabricate or continue searching for the...

    F1 mirrors

Resurrecting an old thread for the same problem, but now the original ones appear to be discontinued. Looking for an original style LH door mirror for a 1952 Canadian F1, which is already in paint, so grinding the hinge is not high on my list, can anyone suggest where to look for a good used...

    1952 F-1 Project

Solved! The repop bezel needed gentle encouragement with pliers in order to open the gap enough to allow it to rotate enough to lock.

    1952 F-1 Project

And now a question….. I can’t find any information on installation of the ignition housing and tumbler assembly. The truck didn’t have one when purchased… the spring loaded housing fits into the dash, the tabs line up with the slots in the dash, but it’s a puzzle as to what holds it in place. It...

Rear Hub Grease Seal Removal Tool

X2 on Tom’s method. Any cylindrical piece will work... I’ve used a piece of wooden dowel, you just need a base for the fulcrum for your prying.

Question About 8BA Truck Oil Pans

The two seals numbered 6422 and 6423 (group numbers) in the picture below are no longer available that I’ve been able to determine. Seals 6424 and 6425 are the ones I was able to source from Van Pelt.

Question About 8BA Truck Oil Pans

The seals for the dust shield are available from Van Pelts, I received a set in November. The seals for the top of the flywheel cover are not.

What is going on with tires these days?? Summer only tires ??

Re: What is going on with tires these days?? Seems to be yet another example of poor construction and material cost cutting becoming the responsibility of the consumer.

    1952 F-1 Project

Thought I should post some progress... I took a 10 month diversion to bring a 1929 Tudor back to life that had been sitting in a lean to carport for thirty years, but I’m back on the truck.... I’ve been working on the chassis restoration and working on the drivetrain...
