I grew up there. Living in Houston area the last 30 years it's hard to believe how different it really is.

Hello folks, Thought I'd post the info here in case someone here is interested. 28 Sport Coupe and 30 Roadster. Quite a few parts also. Don't know a lot about them but can take plenty of pics when I get up there the Thursday before the sale. Sale is Sept 29. They were my dad's cars. Pretty...

I think they are just a single track bolted to the seat riser on each side. At least that's what I recall looking at my brother's 31 Murray while the seat was out. I'll try to get a pic down inside the well of the rails.

Here's some pics. Let me know if you need something more specific.

I'll look at mine. Never had the seat apart. If it's easy to get to I'll get you some pics.

They still build them. I seen a brand new one when I was in North Dakota about a month ago.

I would bc/cc it. If the painter can lay the clear out slick in a clean environment then it would not need to be buffed. That painter is going to be tough to find. I think the big work would be in prepping and priming it then prepping it for paint. Lots of sanding and attention to detail. Be...

I've been working on cars for 31 years at the dealership level. Rebuilt many carbs and work with some really sophisticated technology. I have to admit that I was a little intimidated by this carb. Once it was apart and the magic was let out of the box it was a breeze. The only real problem the...

Just checked in the garage. I do in fact have the instructions for your car. Complete with production date and production numbers which I'm sure will come in handy in the event you need something replaced. It's a Cartouche kit with side armrests but no center arm rest. I wonder if pops covered...

Mr. Bill......nice touch! I would think you could download them from Macs but have been unsuccessful in finding them. I did run across a beat up set in the box of papers I brought home. They may be for that car. I'll look at them here in a bit. I'll get them to you if they seem to be of any value.

I need to scrape some paint off the firewall to be able to tell the production date. The motor number 14333xx dates it April of 29 if I recall correctly. The car was sold May 22 1929. He purchased and installed most of the interior already. It's not gray check for sure. Door panels and such are...

I get what you're saying. I'm struggling a bit with how to go about this. On one hand I feel I should leave it as is and unfinished. On the other I know that he would have been disappointed the paint colors did not turn out quite right. He put a lot of time and effort into researching and having...

I found some pictures he had sent me when he first got the car. It's obvious that it was repainted and was an attempt at the correct colors. I have to assume that the tank and the underside of the tank were painted at that time. That explains the colors inside. There is enough detail in the...

I'm trying to figure out what the original colors were on my 29 155-A sedan. Dad painted it Vagabond/Rock Moss on the outside. The Rock Moss is obviously not dark enough as the two colors are very close together. He may have inverted the colors also. The one closest to Vagabond is on the upper...

Thanks for the invite. I'll probably take you up on that. Any links? My brother lives in ElMirage, California. He probably won't join up.;)

Thanks to everyone for their condolences. To be honest, I would rather have kept the roadster. It seemed he had more time, money and energy invested in the town cars and sport coupe. Since I have a full stable of mustangs already it's kinda hard to justify having drug home two of them. He...

Hello all! I just became a Model A owner recently after the passing of my father. The car is a 29 Murray Town Sedan. Supposedly been in the same family until my father bought it. It was sold new In Devils Lake, North Dakota. Spent some time in Bakersfield, California and Ashland, Oregon before...
