    Remote starter for model A?

I am playing around under the hood troubleshooting an engine that won't start. Is There any way to hook up some kind of remote starter switch to the old girl? It would be nice not to need 2 people every time I want to be under the hood playing with the ignition while someone else turns her over.

    Straightening folded Side Curtain windows

The previous owner folded and rolled the side side curtains for my Phaeton neatly in a lump in the trunk. Now the plastic windows are all formed into rounded shapes. What is the safest way to bring them beck to their former flatness?. I know that folding clear plastic windows is a big no no...

    Gas leak near steering column

I just acquired a 1928 A and drove it 40 or so miles and at the end of the drive noticed dripping from the end of the formed channel by the firewall where all the wires, cables, etc run behind the gas gauge. It was clear that the gas gauge was old and had been leaking for some time, BUT this...

Why so many "Coupe" body styles?

"during the Model-A era, the Model-A generally sold to a lower incomed family" This makes sense, but it is something I have never understood in reference to their being so many coupes around now. If it was the lower income families buying the model A's, wouldn't they buy the most practical...

31 Roadster windshield opens inward at speed

WellmI guess I will start by taking apart and cleaning the cones and go from there. I was gonna put in some kind of stops, but I didn't want to drill into the stanchions.

31 Roadster windshield opens inward at speed

One thing that has bugged the hack out of me and I never seem to get around to resolving is as follows: On my 31 deluxe roadster, over speeds of around 40 MPH the windshield flips inward due to the wind pressure. It had rubber gaskets all round the frame. I am sure it is a repro windshield and...

Verifying charging system on 6V Alternator system

How do you check at the alternator with the one wire setup? One meter lead to the wire, and the other to the body of the alternator? Are you proposing actually checking the alternator to see if it reads AC? I have never heard of this

Verifying charging system on 6V Alternator system

Thanks for the tips, I tried checking the voltage of the battery with a digital volt meter and as soon as I touch the GND lead of the meter to the GND post the meter goes crazy. I guess I need an analog meter to do this verification while the engine is running? I have a Schumacher BT-100 100...
