'39 speedo cable and gear box

Someone wasn't paying attention when they put that turtle back on. Maybe they changed the gearing for a tire size change. The case is stamped 21. Guess I'll find out when I remove it. Thanks for the great pictures, really helpful. And ditto on the work!

'39 speedo cable and gear box

Hey guys, I'm having a little trouble figuring what the correct path for the speedo cable is for '39, because of what I think is the wrong orientation of my speedo gearbox. The exploded parts diagram in the service bulletins appears to have the turtle oriented 180 degrees opposite to the way it...

    '39 parking brake cable routing?

Kube, from where the brake cable is attached to the bellhousing, are you running it above the rear engine support bracket (between it and the driveshaft) or between the engine support bracket and the radius rods?

    '39 parking brake cable routing?

Can't thank you enough. I think Mac's has the smooth buttons. I'm going to install the hand brake assembly and move on from there. I appreciate your offer for more pictures and will be specific when I hit a speed bump. Nice work on your restoration. Looks good!

    '39 parking brake cable routing?

Kube, did you use any sound deadening product on the left and right insides of the cowl when you rebuilt? Did Ford factory apply that material in production? I have the remains of some material (tar-like and sprayed on) on the inside of my cowl and it looks similar to what is in picture #1...

    '39 parking brake cable routing?

Thank you Kube. These additional pictures are very helpful and I would be grateful for any pictures that help sort out the firewall details both inside the cab and in the engine compartment. I need to figure out what order things go back on the firewall and the insulation panel going on at the...
