I believe you are correct but I'd like something simpler... though I may have to go with the metal. I found 1/2" wide for the front at Brattons...

The welt depression on the sides and back of my 1930 coupe roof is 3/8" wide, and the depression at the front is 1/2" wide... All of the hidem welt I've found is said to be 5/8" wide, seemingly too wide for those depressions (I plan to use hidem at the front too). I don't see in the catalogs...

The vehicle was abandoned on your father's property 20 years ago by persons unknown? Use the court method, see post 11 for the form. You don't need a lawyer. It will cost you court fees and publication of notice charge. You father can get the title in his name.
