Just wondering what people are using for cotter pins inside the engine. I have another car in the shop for connecting rod failure, do to failed cotter pins. Everything I can find is made in China.

I just purchased parts from a fellow model A enthusiast. Amongst the assorted parts was a new aluminum head. It has no markings on it. Just wondering who made these, besides Winfield. Also how would one determine the compression ratio? This was from his estate.

Hopefully these are the pics of the parts. Need correct sequence of parts. Does this housing have grease zerk like the A? If not does it have a specific way to be mounted?

Working with a museum in another state that is trying to put an AA trans. back together. Their question is how the rear bearing retainer parts are assembled. Was wondering which way the inner plate is installed. Any pictures available? Thanks for any help.

So what is a BB ****** from?

Working with the Military Museum, they have an old military truck, that had a Model A engine installed with a BB ******. The ****** was removed with the engine for engine work. The ****** was opened up and found it full of water. Gears and such are shot. Question is, is this just and AA ******...

That has already been done. He is a well know guys who has the machine to set them up.

Can the timing on the engine be tweaked, with the distributor on the car. It runs pretty good but seems to lack power. Can only get 30 mph in second gear and doesn’t like third gear at all.
