Jamie86 , This would be a good time to check the E brake carrier . There are at least three different carriers . 1 non reinforced 2 reinforced and, 3 reinforced with ears to keep band on carrier . If band slips off it wull lock up brakes . Bubby Sharp in KY

Purdy , Do the math and buying the longer studs $ 33 plus the nuts $ 3.45 plus the water neck studs $ 2.95 would total $39.40 . Compared to $ 15.75 for grade 5 set . I considered doing what you suggested but didn't due to cost and delay .

Save your money ! Took the set off mine after about three years . Got tired of them pulling screeching and grabbing . No such problems with the standard set up . Also noticed most of the roller pins are undersize in the shaft size by .005 or so and that causes you to have to build up the tracks...

Sounds like parking brake is on or locked up . The parking brake was prone to jump off the carrier on some of the early style carriers . Remove rear hub and have a look see . Be thankful this happened at home not out on the road ! Bubby Sharp in KY
