Rochester 2G for mostly stock ‘40 pickup I’m putting a Merc intake and Rochester 2G or 2GC or 2GV carb on my pickup’s C69A motor. Do I have to fab my own throttle, choke and accel linkages or has someone already come up with a solution I can beg, steal, borrow or even pay for?

Figured it out. The tube has to be parallel to the gearbox. Slides right out.

Sounds easy from descriptions, but mine is being stubborn for some reason. 1. Unhooked transverse leaf 2. Unhooked rear shocks 3. Removed collar halves at rear of ****** 4. Tried rolling rear end back to separate torque tube from ****** 5. No joy. More force somehow? Any ideas appreciated.

Steering column removed! Of course the steering box has to come out from the bottom. Also, the tie rod and the pitman arm have to be disconnected from one side (I did the pass side) so the box and column will clear. Pretty easy when you know how. And, thanks to you all, who knew how, it was...

Mart, I'm trying to separate the cab from the frame. Getting the steering column out of the way seemed like a logical step, but perhaps not? Thanks, Scott

Thanks Glen, That solved the removal of the tube surrounding the steering column. But, how does the column come apart from the box?

I removed the clamp at the steering box, removed the wheel and the dash mount but can't get the column to separate from the box. What's the trick?

I'm looking for the trim that hides the edges of the headliner and kick panels. Does any one know of a source? I am restoring to original so custom-hot rod interior bits probably won't work. I have checked all the usual suspects like CWMoss, Carpenter and Drake. No joy. Thanks, in advance, Scott
