Yes! this is a good start, also have your coil rebuilt. i had this done on my 36 pickup, my pickup is very dependable

battery cables dont care what voltage , 6 ,12, or 24 volt. its the size of the cable that counts , lower voltage has more restinace, so for 6 volt cars you need bigger cables, there is more restance for lower voltage

if you are going to do all that work, i would take the pressure plate and clutch disk and the flywheel to get balanced , i think its a good idea
