Well... I am building a speedster myself and have to make a decision along the same lines. I see that you did not use the kit, as it does not come with a windshield. Though I have a cowl and windshield from a 30-31, I think the windshield that comes with kit looks better, but it is expensive...

I am building a Model A Speedster. The kit requires that I have a 28-29 radiator and shell. I have a 30-31 set, but apparently it will not fit. Can anybody out there help? Willing to swap or buy outright. Thanks, Giorgio

I had the same experience, also with a 21 inch spare. I am resigned to the fact that it simply is not a good item. Mine is Snyder's, hate to say. Giorgio
