The lower door hinges are often stressed and cracked. Some have been crudely repaired. Check frame near the rear kick up where X member ties into main frame rail. This is a problem spot for rust and rotted rails. If it is missing door latches, originals are hard to find and repro's are...

UP told me they get there latches overseas, but have not had any problems. They do supply Mac's and Bob Drake. Have heard good things about UP but don't know about the overseas part. Anyone with any experience with a UP latch?

The alignment on my 34 PU door is fine in the back but a little low in the front. I have tried moving the hinges up as far as possible but as you probably know there isn't much if any adjustment. I have aligned the back on previous trucks with shims under the cowl but this doesn't seem...

Have 34 PU doors with stress cracks around the rivets of the lower hinge. Can possibly be welded. Other and possible better option is to remove the hinge, cut out and replace cracked metal and reinstall hinge. My question is, lower hinge is riveted on, so how big of mess/job is it to remove...
