1939 Mercury convertible. Common parts with a sedan.

Yes! Gorgeous car, isn't it? Mine was originally some sort of medium blue with tan interior, but I am going to keep the light beige-gray the sedan has, and use the mahogany or darker red interior and black top with vermillion edging, as the pic you posted has there specified. That is the idea...

1939 Mercury convertible. Common parts with a sedan.

Great! Thank you very much, guys! I knew most trim and bits were the same (except for the two door versus four door items), but with your help, now I know the front fenders, hood, rear fenders and dashboard are the same. That helps a lot with the project. Basically the idea is to get the...

1939 Mercury convertible. Common parts with a sedan.

Thanks! The donor car I have, a sedan, is really very good. In fact, were it not for the fact that it's sacrifice will help build a great convertible, I would keep it as it is! It has a real good grill, handles, an engine that purrs like a kitten.... great car, really. Glad to know everthing...

1939 Mercury convertible. Common parts with a sedan.

Hi guys. Long time, no post.... I have a 1939 Mercury with a reasonable body but otherwise completely "run down", it needs EVERYTHING done. I decided my best bet was to buy a reasonable sedan to use for parts, and I found a very good one which I am about to get. Basic question is: How much...

1929 Ford Station Wagon in need of seats

Hi guys! I am about to purchase a 1929 Woody, a 4 door station wagon, which is basically a very good older restoration, but for some reason I don't understand (and neither does the son of the owner) there is no rear seats for it, only the front one. I am not sure but I don't believe there is any...

    1957 Thunderbird dash pad reccomendation

Attached is a pic of my plate... and just under it you will see the original yellow color. And by the way, as far as I understand, in the Mexico plant they were not cautious with marking the plates other than the car number. I have other mexican cars with no information on color or any options...

    1957 Thunderbird dash pad reccomendation

Yes, my car is a medium yellow color originally with a black and white interior, so dashpad is black. By the way, it also has the hardtop but covered with vynil (which I have never seen before but I guess it is not common) and it looks very old and correct, so it may have been sold that way...

    1957 Thunderbird dash pad reccomendation

Thank you guys! I found this option with dashes direct, apparently made with Ford original tooling and aproved by Ford which seems like a reasonable deal: https://dashesdirect.com/product/1957-t-bird-original-tooling-dash-pad/ I will also take a look with the other sources you reccomend...

    1957 Thunderbird dash pad reccomendation

Hi everybody, and merry Christmas. Santa brought me a one owner 1957 Thunderbird with about 40,000 original miles. A great original car who's biggest sin was that it had a color change, from yellow (Inca gold?) to a bright orange. It is very complete and still has it's original interior, in...

Is this a correct horn for my 1923 model T?

Yes, that is my car. It looks decent but it is not fully correct. It has a much nicer top that what they originally used (I got it this way already) and uphostery is a bit off also... pleats are too pronounced. Background is an acueduct we have here in Queretaro, Mexico. Here is the car with an...

Is this a correct horn for my 1923 model T?

Bringing up this old subject, I found a suitable horn, just as the one Tmodelmal posted in his pics, painted it and installed it in the car. It looks great, fits great in the correct bolts, but question here is sound: it makes a nice buzz (not sure if I would call it a sad cow, as he described)...
