    how to test spark?

if i'm not mistaken, the ignition switch closes and opens the electrical circuit required for the engine to run(well that's how it is looking). So like when you hotwire a more modern car, we took the two wired from the back and attached them together to open the loop permanently. I'll try some...

    how to test spark?

Hey everyone, the younging is back asking some probably simple questions.. but there you go. Anyway, I finally got around to working on my early 1930 Model A coupe. I found a 6v battery, rebuilt the carb, slapped in some new spark plugs(gapped them to .35), and now I cannot seem to get the car...

Confessions of a Model A Modifier – Model A Upgrades?

Re: Confessions of a Model A Modifier – Model A Upgrades? hmm... I like your radiator overflow and airfilter. I was surprised to not find one on my A or find any pictures of one. I would, however, suggest you create a heat shield for your airfilter as all the heat coming off your engine is...

    new waterpump too big?

are the radiators just not capable of taking as much water as this spins? The impeller fins don't seem to be that much larger than my original. But I will get to that stage when I do. As of right now, I just want to get this car running!

    new waterpump too big?

awesome! I looked inside the box, and I guess I confused the packing paper with the instructions. I am also glad that the front grease fitting was just for show, I didn't know what to do with it haha. Once again, this forum to the rescue.

    new waterpump too big?

has anyone run into the issue of having to take material off the sides off of the waterpump impeller because it is too large to fit inside the head? I just bought a new leakless impeller for the 1930 model A and when trying to fit it inside the head, the waterpump wont spin. Any input? many...

Hello all, new to the forum!

Came with the car I recon! A few people keep sayin it's quite the sought after dash. I'm really excited. My waterpump is in the mail, i'm picking up new battery leads tomorrow along with a new battery, and also new radiator hoses. I washed out my rusted head and about 2 minutes worth of rusty...
