previous post(9-28-19) for offshore dogbone tapers,that spun in shock tapered holes due to be machined slightly undersize and would not hold,to allow tightening of the nuts.I pressed paper against tapered area,to make a pattern of the tapered area.Cut out the pattern,and marked a piece of .002"...

most likely a defective taper on the one dogbone,procured from a primary supplier of offshore products.Maybe slightly machined undersize.

ordered repro dogbones for 47 merc rear shocks.one side went together well,second (driver side)will not tighten,the tapers do not lock together,and theball studs just spin in the matching holes.Think I should add a thin shim in the hole?
