Blocked off coolant port above serial number?
If it is the one I am thinking of .... Actually there is a large oblong passage way between the head and the block which was added in October of 28 or 29 for additional cooling.- TwoDeuceCoupe

Trying to get to NZ National Meet
Four things that cause radiator to burst that I have seen are: 1. Folks crimp the overflow tube inside radiator to stop water from leaking out over flow. Steam can not escape fast enough as water begins to boil. If crimped partway but not closed off, Pressure builds up until it splits the tank...- TwoDeuceCoupe
