Waking up a Sleeping Beauty, 1934 5 window

Another cigar lighter photograph, this one from our unrestored '34. When I shine a light behind it, the lens is definitely amber in color.

    Ford 17" Wheels and tires

Five 17" wheels and tires originally used on a 1934 Ford. The wheels are in good used condition and would be suitable for a driver, not a show car. The BF Goodrich tires are old, but hold air. The inner tubes have the correct Schrader valve stems in excellent condition. $525 -SOLD-

    '34 Exhaust System

Pete, here are some photos of the replacement muffler in my '34 Ford. It has the convex end plates, and the welded-on header pipe. However this muffler lacks the crimped circumferential beads near each end that David G described.

    1934 Ford Rose Beige Mohair

I appreciate your comments, and certainly agree that the color is Taupe. Glass dates on the car are 4-34, so presumably the coupe was assembled after the color change. I took several more pictures of the artificial leather, and below is a relatively accurate idea of the color under normal (in...

    1934 Ford Rose Beige Mohair

Thank you David for posting these photos. This coupe is in our garage, and I should add that the mohair seat base has a pink hue when viewed in certain lighting, however I can't seem to photograph this. I am also enclosing photos of the rumble seat material in case this is helpful to any Ford...

Original 1935 ford heads aluminum or cast iron

What type of cylinder heads did the 1933 and 1934 half ton pickups originally have- cast iron or aluminum?

    34 commercial grille ID?

I think the original question has been well answered. I am adding a few photographs of my '34 pickup grille for reference. All the chrome pieces pictured and the stainless trim are restored and I believe are original to the truck. The blue porcelain Ford badge is a repro part.

    '34 Ford Drive and Show

Chris and Cheryl- Your original truck is in the same league as this coupe, just used more and had to work for a living. Glad to see you are enjoying your project. I have been to the Dearborn national meet twice in the past, but not this year- hope to attend a meet again soon.

    '34 Ford Drive and Show

If any Fordbarn members are aware of the history of this car, please message me or reply. The coupe spent most of its life in San Diego, and the owner's manual has "Neuner Bros Ford" penciled on it. The car was sold by a previous California owner at the Hershey car show in 2008.

    '34 Ford Drive and Show

Here are few photos of my '34 Ford. The car is unrestored with low mileage. The wheels and top surfaces of the fenders have been repainted; the remainder of the paint, upholstery, and glass are all largely original. A year or so of detail work paid off, and the coupe runs and drives well...

Red Liquid for the Hydrostatic Gas Gauge

The hydrostatic line within my '34 Pickup was kinked near the fuel gauge and obstructed. A friend added a little Sta-Bil to the gauge, and since then I have always had a half tank of gasoline. The red color is still good after 10 years.
