South wind gas heaters are almost immediate heat and safe if installed properly. I have had a number of them in autos and even in two aircraft (which were approved for use by the FAA) They are frequantly available at reasonable prices on line shopping sites. Be sure that you are buying the...

    WWII gas ration sticker placement?

About the ration stickers, as I remember the A got 5 gal, B got 20 gal per week and C sticker was allowed all they needed for their necessary war related business. It was to conserve rubber tires not fuel. The Germans were doing Quite a job sinking ships bringing rubber up from South America...

    WWII gas ration sticker placement?

It was to be placed on the bottom right corner of the passenger side windshield. I still have a beat up one on my 35 ford windshield. I remember sometimes being allowed to set in the front seat, Mom next to Dad and me against the door. The darned sticker was in front of me, that is why I...

    Sudden Drop in Gas Mileage

Any obstruction of the air filter such as dirt, or the wrong filter will affect mileage. Even a worn choke butterfly bearing surface can cause air flow obstruction. Also make sure the choke butterfly is opening completely vertical. these simple problems are often overlooked.

    Is this an ok radiator?

As long as the ph stays 7.0, neurtal it can't react with anything. As soon as you add additives, unless they are neutral, things change. Nitrozene tape is the easiest and cheapest way to test fluids. Available at drug stores.

    Real story on Lebarron Bonney?

I find that when this old 87 year old takes his 84 year old ford to a car show hardly any of this generation of show goers stop to hardly look or talk. The entrance fees have gone up above affordable amount for fixed income budget folks so there are very few pre flathead engine cars displayed...

    1935 Ford 15-P

I don't see how they ever got the Center of Gravity (CG) anywhere near correct with the heavy engine behind what looks to be the wing spar position. I'll bet it was a doozy to fly if it did ever fly at all.

    35 Ford Cooling Issues

Any engine with babbot bearings should not be cooled with ethylene base antifreeze. If the ethylene type happens to get in crankcase (Oil) it will ruine the bearings. Propylene will not and is pet safe if ingested by animals. Serria ( sold by NAPA, one place) is a propylene base permeant...
