The wires on the circuit breaker are hot all the time with switches off. The wires are Cloth covered and color coded. The headlight switch has pigtail soldered to the switch. Jumper wire to the 2 wires leaving the stop light switch

Wiring isn’t that old. I even took them off and checked. I’ll go back over the wiring tomorrow.just don’t understand why tail lights and license plate lights up when pressing brake now and no tail lights when you turn on light. I haven’t rewired anything.

They are double contacts and so are the sockets. I failed to mention that I do not have any turn signals on the car in case anyone asks.

It does do the same on high and low beam. I checked the ground on the headlight and was good and tight. Is there another ground I should check? It may be end of the week before I get a chance to check it.

40 coupe passenger side headlight stopped working. It burns but really dim. I have checked the ground and it’s good. Checked wiring and switch and all seems fine. Tried switching headlight out and still the same. Any ideas?
