    color code

Hello Dave , good info on the interior garnish mould and dash colours. I'd wondered about the 2 tone dash ends that I've seen on ebay , as they appeared to be only half metallic.

    VIN decoding

I think you're right 54vicky, I recall an article from some newspaper a while ago stating that she'd retired. That was some time ago. Bill Playfoot , the 578 could be 6 cylinder Courier, I know 78 is the Courier body style number. There was a post about another Canadian vehicle that a member...

    VIN decoding

Gday Bill , see if you can get ahold of the 1958 Ford and Meteor chassis parts catalogue , it has the VIN decoder in the front. Also , I chased up info from Ford Canada years ago when they had a history section , sent them the numbers for my Canadian 55 Crown Vic , came back with everything...

    1956 Ford Interior trim paint.

Thanks for input fellas , I got side tracked with other things over the Christmas /New Year holidays. We've got a paint shop nearby that has formulas that were converted from the old enamel to acrylic versions of Ford Paint , pretty good off the formulas , but no trim colours. Australian Fords...

    1956 Ford Interior trim paint.

Thanks dmsfrr , I'll try and find a sample of the original colour on the dash that they haven't painted and get a paint shop to match it. The colour I need is the same as that 56 Sedan Delivery that sold at Mecum earlier this year. Thanks again.

    1956 Ford Interior trim paint.

Hello All , looking for some help from the more informed community. I'm trying to get a paint formula for the colour my 56 Courier interior trim was originally painted. From what I read the colour is or very close to the 1957 Ford Thunderbird Bronze. It's very hard to find any of the original...

1956 Ford Courier rear spring bushing

Hello Barners , just wondering if anyone has replaced their front of rear spring bushes lately , and where they may have sourced the bushes from? The bushes are 1" O.D and have a 7/16 " bolt , plenty of sedan 7/8" O.D bushes around , but the bigger ones for the Couriers and Wagons aren`t so...

Production number question for the 55,56 guys

G`day Dave , I just found a book that I purchased years ago " Motorbooks International FORD PICKUP RED BOOK " and it has U.S 1955 Courier Production at 7754 , doesn`t break it down into sixes or eights though. Makes them just about the rarest `55 !! Production of the `56 was 8757...keep those...

Hello All, Seeking leads on a rear door check for a 1956 Ford Courier , single back door . I have heard that they were prone to seizing but can be rebuilt . My `56 Courier has had the check removed at some stage , and if there is anyone with a completely rusted out and badly mangled door...

    55 UTE & paint question

G`day George, I might be able to shed some light on your engine colour , just a theory though. I have seen a few Y blocks over the years and a lot of our `56 and `57 Mainlines have traces of that blue/green paint on them , underneath a dark grey. A Canadian part book that I have lists ASQ ...

    54-56 Courier Script

G`day Dave, Thanks for the reply, and the offer. I have the Factory Sales Brochures for both 1955 and 1956 and they show both the split bench and a single seat, but I also saw a `56 that sold on ebay quite a few years ago that had what appeared to be a pair of original...

    64 ranchero

Hold it , had a better look at your question....forget about removing the box, just have to undo the ****** selector, nut and bolt that clamps outer tube to steering box shaft, column tube to dash clamp , plates on floor and steering wheel ....not sure if you`ll slide it up over steering box...

    64 ranchero

You should just have to remove your steering wheel, Pitman Arm from bottom of box, undo the throughbolts that go through the body into the box. Disconnect the wiring harness, undo connection for auto shifter , undo clamp which holds column to the dash, remove plates that cover and seal floor...

    54-56 Courier Script

Hello All, great site!! I`m looking for a pair of Fender Scripts for my `56 Courier. I believe they would have been the same from 1954 to 1956. Also, I know it`s a longshot, but a pair of original seats would be good too ;) Regards, John.
