    Model A Charging Conditions

Just wondering if I can keep the battery up under normal daylight driving conditions. At the cutout, I'm at 7.2 volts, at the battery I've got 6.9 volts, and at the Amp meter I'm reading 6.5 amps. Assuming the amp meter is accurate. Does this sound like all is fairly good or should I raise...

purchased the new headlight reflectors from Brattons...90.00. Finally got the lights to adjust according to the way I interstand it. You adjust the lights with the high beams I think....is the high beam the V shaped element? And the V shaped element on top? Which is the light switch all the way...

Removing Broken Studs by Welding a Washer and Nut

Before the head bolt breaks, wouldn't it be wise to put a torch to heat it up first? If it creates a contraction on the bolt and a expansion on the head, it sounds like it would save a lot of headaches to me.

    Ethanol-free gas

Watch the cost go higher....remember, lead was an additive and when they removed it it cost us more . Ethanol is an additive that has cost us more and when they remove it will cost us even more! Hat to be a killjoy ....but I am a realist.m

    model a points shot?

I used to rebuild the Railroad Relays, and some contacts were of silver and some tungsten. I would have to get the alignment and the polishing down to the resistance would have to be on a dry contact less then .009. On the tungsten contacts the next day....would be .255 or more. Just the air...

Driving Model A after hip replacement

On November the 14th I had my left leg knee replacement and I was concerned about being able to clutch, or get down and under the car. The key is to get all of the therapy you are entitled too. I am down to one day a week now, but I can drive, since all but one vehicle I own is standard...

    Worried!

I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd say it was priced wrong! Because I don't work on my own cars since the late seventies, (when children came) except for the model A. The garages always took care of the antifeeze. I like keeping the stuff in to keep the rust out. I remember always using one...

    Worried!

Ok, thanks....I never noticed the 50-50 before, I always bought the regular and put the gallon in and add the rest with water....I paid 23.00 dollars for it so I assumed it was what I used to buy.....never thinking it was watered down! Now you guys don't like the light bulb in there either?

    Worried!

Thank you, I will stop running it! Yes I did add water....I figured one gallon of antifeeze and two gallons of water......should be fine. I later realized it was 50 percent.....I don't ever remember it being sold watered down before??? I will purchase that tester....because these engines don't...

    Worried!

I am worried about the A in my garage, I have a wyfi thermometer on the engine and a drop light with a 100w bulb and I'm reading 27 degrees. Last year I flushed the system but didn't realize I purchased 50% antifreeze. I know it only a three gallon system, but is this enough to keep the block...
