I ordered a set of points from NAPA (CS30). They are made in Mexico and are the same length as Snyder's. My original (correct) points are on the left in the photo. Maybe Mexico is the single source for (incorrect) ignition points? John D.

Marshall, I was referring to my car with that question. I just went out and turned my key on and then the instrument (twist) light. The body fuse didn't blow and the amp meter indicated a slight discharge. Thanks, John D.

I believe the pan head, slotted machine screw is a 5/16-28 x 1/4". It's been my experience that machine screws are completely threaded. Going to ACE hardware later and see if I can find one. Thanks everyone for your replies.
