Maybe try paint remover or " OOPS " multi purpose remover. Supposed to remove paint, tar, glue, gum etc. Try using a tooth brush after you let it set for awhile. Pat

I've been looking for a 58 Del Rio for years, had the chance about 10 or so years ago, it was in Ohio, same color I wanted,like the one I had many years ago, blue & white. Mine had the intercepter engine. You snooze,you looze ! I'd still like to have one now !

Still has the original 332 V-8 with Cruisematic ******, neither one opened,it still runs strong on 87 octain. But in the summertime on hot days when I get stopped in...

I had a 1958 Ford Del Rio Wagon, which I believe had the 352 cu in it,I should have taken some pic's of it. It did say Interceptor on the air breather. That wagon would get up and scat ! I shure would like to find another one like it. It also had the cruisematic ******. Are there any out there ???

Hey' thanks again guys. Now i'm leaning towards the 59 Sunburst Hubcap was of poor quality for the larger hubcap. I asked other guys who own 57 Fords with their larger hubcaps,they never had a problem with them coming off. Does anyone know who sells 14" trim rings that will fit the 14" stock...

Thanks raceron1120, I may give that a try, I guess you put it all around the wheel,then put the hubcap back on,then let it dry ? Sounds OK to me.

Thanks Marv. I'm still using the dog dish for now. I may have to find out what year Ford 14" rim will accept Radial Tires,that I could still use the Sunburst Hubcap ? Or down the road,change to a newer Chrome Wheel without the hubcaps.

Thanks John T, Merc Cruzer, & 50 Merc. 1st, it's a 2 dr H.T. Gold,Black,&White interior. 2nd,I also put on dog dish caps from 58-59 I found in N.J. They are like early takeoffs,real nice, but I like the full dish caps better,I'll use the dog dish for awhile. 3rd,I'll have to give the goop a try...
