thank you David, I am sure it would satisfy me and would certainly look better than it does now with a 90's radio hanging out of it on one side. Got one of the new dash panels that holds five gauges and fits in the original hole. Very nice quality. Larry

Need the metal housing out to install a bearing bushing. Do no want plastic insert. Guess I can slip the whole mast off with the above steps with the drop still attached. Sounds straightforward to me. thank you

The plastic portion of my bushing is gone but the metal outer needs to be removed. Is there any way to accomplish this without pulling the entire column mast ? Thinking maybe filling a cut in it and getting it to collapse a little ? thanks

Trouble with using o ring or gasket it has to be fairly thick and fuel resistant to seal the flange. If you just use a regular o ring it is not thick enough to absorb the crush needed to seal. Thats why guys are having to use two to ever get results. I don't mind that but don't want to wait...
