where to get a fuel pump 1952 8BA

I had a double action(not original) pump on my '50 and when I removed it and felt the effort it took to operate the heavier spring, I decided to switch. I found a NOS in the box AC pump for a very reasonable price on ebay and put in a rebuild kit (the diaphram was toast). It has worked fine for...

1950 Tudor new front brake drums

Thanks Glenn. I believe your last paragraph is the way to go. I think I will get one of these presses. There were many times in the past I wish I would have had one, rather than using a block and hammer...

1950 Tudor new front brake drums

My problem was a persistent pull left on braking. I tried adjusting, swapping, etc. until my face turned blue. The brakes looked good. So in August, I replaced the shoes (again), hardware, wheel cylinders and hoses, scuffed up the drums, which judging from the records I have are original, turned...

1950 Tudor new front brake drums

I do not have a good close up after cleaning. But, I can not tell if there is any peening. Hence my original question. Fordy, I examined the drums very closely after a thorough cleaning and see no tack welds or anything else.

1950 Tudor new front brake drums

If I want to install new front drums, is there a way to separate the drum from the hub, then install a new drum with new studs, with home tools? Nothing in the "Green Book" about this. I don't want to damage the hubs as they are hard to find. Thanks in advance.

Re: 53 8BA Flathead Running Hot – Looking for Cooling Advice Hope you get it figured out. Any white smoke in the exhaust, does one spark plug look cleaner than the others, motor oil look ok? That's a sharp looking engine bay, How about a picture or two of the car for another '50 owner.

    Look Ma! No hood prop!

Thanks for posting this. I may do this. At least the '51 has trunk springs. I do not like to open the trunk on my '50 unless absolutely necessary.

A Very Nice '40 SOLD today on Hemmings - $27,536.00

When I see something like this, I have to remind myself that my current '50 which I love took me 2 1/2 years at my pace to get right and I can't go through that again. Wash, wax, and maintenance, hopefully. Just waxed.

Lower radiator hoses on an 8BA

Whoever installed the lowers on my '50 appears to have shortened them for easier installation. They don't leak and I have removed them more than once, so all is good.

Seat repair on 50 Ford Custom

The front seat on the '50 has zig zag springs. The rear has coils. Here's a pic of the front. If the ends came loose, doesn't look easy. If it's the couplings, maybe could be done. There are replacement springs...
