Off topic. I have wrists issues. I I stalled electric power steering in my 38. Love it

Just to give an update. Pictures of assembly and installed. I love it one hand steering in tight spots. No interference with clutch or brake.

I got good advice from Barm member Tom (Angledrive) and I am going with a kit from epowersteering.com. Good advice and reasonable price. I will in time let you know how it works. Pete

I know better to post this on Hamb but I spend more time here on the Barn. I have joint problems and finding its harder and harder to steer my 38 5 window. Anyone gone this way? Thanks Pete

Cracked windshield in my 39. PO set glass in with looks like black silicone. Do I break the glass and pull the glass pieces out? Or is there trick? I have the windshield out of the car. Glass is safety type Thanks Pete

I will try the 2by4 on my next build. Engines I have run on my stand have all been good runners.

I just finished this engine. Merc block , 4 inch crank, ..080 over, egge pistons, stock valves, l100 cam. I went with copper gaskets. Did both clay and aluminum balls. Without gaskets pistons just touching, valves no problem. The copper gasket compress is .062. No problems engine runs great...

1950 Merc engine.080 over, L100 cam, topline adjustable lifters set at 16 intake and exhaust, Egge cast pistons, copper gasket.Edelbrock 1115 heads. Using clay no problem over valves. Pistons tightest spot is center of pistons .065. Not to full torque but snug. Measured on distributor side...

I am about to buy adjustable lifters for my build. This discussion has me worried. What number should I be looking for when performing a hardness test. Thanks Pete

Re: Speedway’s Valve Train Components Tim I just had to post I am building my "last" flathead as a spare engine for either my AV8 or 38 coupe. I got a merc engine by luck from local junk yard $250.00 . Lucky the machine shop building short block said every thing checked good. Engine is .40 over...

Fort Wayne Clutch supplies a pressure plate without the weights for the T5 type setup. Pete

New flywheel and pressure plate balanced by local driveline shop $50 bucks. You can see the added weight to the pressure plate. Goiing into my 38 with T5 and hydraulic throwout. Pete

I wanted a dark blue and found ISUSU Cavalier Blue 1988 . I like it no purple hue almost black in the shade. It's a full acrylic enamel. I have seen many versions of Washington Blue. On stands for transmission change. Pete
