Tiny zip lock bags. About the size of a quarter. Used by some to distribute white powder. Available at dollar stores. :)

In 1962, I was in my 28 SC on the way to a MAFCA function at Edwards AFB. We were on (then) 2-lane Hwy 6, I think just out of Mint Canyon. For some reason I thought that I could make a u-turn without anyone noticing. Got t-boned. I think of that every time I make such a turn these days.

Nancy ---- for the former owner's wife who never liked the car and rode in her once. My 1923 T was Betty Ford (because she only had one headlight)

Early on, we taught our sons to sing "Be Careful Little hands what you do" (feet where you go, eyes what you see, etc.) My four year old added "Be careful little nose what you smell." He was right!!!!!!!

Named her Nancy after the former owner's wife who refused to go near the car for 20 years he owned it. Our '25 Ford was missing a headlight, so we named her Betty Ford.

Amen.... Not only dirty engines on a car for sale, but how about when they fill the back seat with dirty cardboard, big fluffy pillows, dolls... or they've taken the pictures without enough light to see anything clearly.

Re: Ford Parts Obsolete, Long Beach 1970 Catalog-Burbank I remember a guy in about 1962-3 had an "obsolete Ford" store on Burbank Blvd. It was handy, as I lived about a mile away. I also bought some from "Tiny" Snell. He had a little place near Alameda and Buena Vista, I think.

Hot Air Pipe On a Model T, the hot air pipe surrounds part of the exhaust manifold, then goes into the throat of the carb.

I had one on my tudor. I was told it was aftermarket for industrial applications. Great pump. Never dropped a drip.

Thanks very much ! I never would have guessed. Thanks to all.

I would appreciate any help in trying to i.d. this shell. I'm confused because it doesn't have the bottom plate. It doesn't show signs of having been cut or welded. Thanks for your help.

Good point, Brent!

I came away from a barn sale where there were T parts, A cars and parts and Metz cars and parts. I've got parts of some kind of shock absorbers. They have the conical springs ( a pair of 7 inch and a pair of 5 inch) like Hasslers. No mfr. plate, but a 4 or 5 letter word is cast in... RHIO or...

This is a first-generation copy of a catalog from WA Plummer in San Francisco. They sold the tents, fold-outs, cots, beds, and all the rest for auto camping. I've got some great pics I can sent you or you can see on fleabay. . Probably from the early to mid-twenties. 27 pages. Free postage...

1. In the advert, "needs restored" "needs rebuilt" "needs repaint" etc. (I know, it's a grammar problem... but really!) 2. Bright red or bright blue velour. (don't brothels look like that?) 3. "Cars" for sale (especially in the snowy mid-west) that are obviously a rusted out body set on top...

I'd have to ask if he was messing with our heads, knowing now that most fuel problems turn out to be electrical. On a less serious note, I'd want to ask why he designed the shifter to swing away. I appreciated the design years ago, but I did wonder.

Hello I'm sorry for the earlier attempt. THanks for the responses, but I've had no luck so far. The carb weighs just a hair under four pounds. Is that typical? Here are the pictures.

I've got about 200 issues of V8 Times. They are in great condition and are full of great pictures, ads, tech articles, and reprints. What a great resource, especially for somebody that's new in the hobby. Open to reasonable offers. Please give me a call at 916 910 9056

Hello, barners Can anyone help me identify this carb? It seems heavier (it weighs about 3 pounds and 15 ounces than others I've had. I appreciate the help. Third pic, that won't load up, shows a 55 and a 55B on the top and bottom, back side.

My grandson called it a "babe magnet."
