    Fender welt advice please

Heard, on my 1937 pickup I used blue tape attached to the inner fender to mark approximate hole locations, transferred that to the fender welt. I them started with the fender loosely bolted installing the welt from the back forward to the front, tightening the bolts as I progressed. Worked out well!

1941 Ford pickup. Oh no! I'm too big!

I know of some who have used a glide engineering seat with the back set to go beneath the horizontal cab cross member giving additional space. I think less padding over the springs as well. A stock seat can't be done that way.

    35 pickup rear window help

When I installed the rubber around the window, I butted it at the top, and set a thin bead of black butyl like you use on windshields in the rubber channel and where it touches the cab. You can tool excess with paint thinner. When cured it holds everything in place and it won't leak!

    Steering gear troubleshoot 40 truck

I rebuilt my 37 steering box, with all new components. When I first tried it I had limited turns, the pitman arm shaft that holds the sector was not clearing the steering box. The pressed in shaft for the gear had to be ground to clear the steering box housing.

Early Ford front axle toe in

I used small angle iron that I drilled to fit the lug bolts, bolted on you can hook a tape measure on either side of the angle to compare to the opposite side. Of course, you need to jack up the vehicle and have it on jack stands.

    1935 Thermostats

There are some of us who wire the modern thermostats in place. I like to put a piece of stainless-steel pipe into the hose to hold the thermostat against the head. It can be secured with an additional hose clamp.
