Wasn’t there some member on here that you could send your oil pump to and he would rebuild it or am I mistaken.

    Shipping

Awesome. I didn't realize that UPS would ship anything that heavy. I will definitely check that out. Should be easy enough.

    Shipping

Who does everyone use for shipping? BLUE line Freight (Fastenal doesn't ship from east zone to West). I found a transmission in Tennessee. Wondering what is the best method of getting it to Colorado. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Engine questions

Thanks fellas. We have a Hotsy at work that I can use. I will get it good and hot and then oil it all right after. The seller hadn't said anything about it being a 4"crank, so I feel like I scored pretty well. The engine was supposedly some reputable local flathead guys spare a couple owners...

Here is a pic of some of the crud in the lifter gallery. Should I just send it and change the oil several times?

    Engine questions

Hey guys, i bought this replacement engine about a month ago. It is a 239 bored .040 over and to my surprise it has a 4"crank. It isn't a fresh rebuild, but no ridge on cylinders and rotates seemingly fine. I dont want to tear it all apart but I want to remove all of the grime. Is it safe to...

    Engine removal 36 pickup

I got it. Dumb $ss me. I was trying to pull the grill and radiator out together. Didn't realize the bolt that held the hood ornament on actually kept them from separating.

    Engine removal 36 pickup

Thanks. I have had it about 6 weeks. When I bought it, it was supposed to just need a little going over to make it drivable...I bought it sight unseen, so you know how that goes. Fired it up, water in the oil. One thing leads to another. I was aware that it wasnt the original engine, someone...

    Engine removal 36 pickup

That's what I was hoping for. I don't really want to take the fenders off, but I might have to.

    Engine removal 36 pickup

Hey guys, I am pulling old engine out of my 36 pickup. I figured that I could just pull the grill and radiator without taking the fenders off and out she'd come....but it seems that I have run into a snag. The tabs on the bottom of the radiator seem to be catching and it appears that I have to...

    Piston notch

OK thanks. It must just be an odd ball. Otherwise I would imagine that they all would have it.

    Piston notch

My newly acquired 59 flathead has a notch in Cylinder #2. It appears that it is suppose to be there and wasn't caused by any damage. Anyone have any ideas what it is? None of the other piston have it. Thanks, Julie

    Change of plans

Hi Guys, A while back I posted pics of a 36 pickup that I was purchasing. I ended up backing out of that deal and buying a different one. The one that I ended up getting has juice brakes and is in a little better shape although sadly it doesn't have a original box. I have had it home for 3 days...

    another FNG (gal)

you guys are making me chuckle. and thanks for all of the input, i appreciate all of it. I think its name is going to be Otis. That is a tiny town that is a short distance from where it has resided for the past 20 years. It hasn't been driven or at least licenced since 1965, but its all there...
