Color of Engine /splash pan for a 1931 model A

31Tudor, I agree. Funny enough, I ordered that book two days ago. I am the same way. I know my car will never be judged, but I will make it as correct as I can, when I can. Pan will get painted as soon as I get supplies and time to warm up the garage.

Color of Engine /splash pan for a 1931 model A

I hear ya. It will bother me a bit though. When I bought this car I knew less than nothing. Now I've graduated to knowing nothing. The head lights were adapted to use the sealed beams. Once I found out they were supposed to be a flat lens, all I could see were these big bulging bug eyes looking...

Stock shock links VS Dog Bone???

Nice! Thanks. I definitely want the original links, but I would also really like to have shocks in the near future. I'll settle for what I can get and work towards original.

Stock shock links VS Dog Bone???

YA. Doesn't seem to be any time line for when they will be available. I have to admit, I didn't even know they were missing when I bought the car. I figured it out real quick when I about made a sun roof with my sons head after hitting a bump!

Stock shock links VS Dog Bone???

I have purchased new shocks for my 30 Tudor from Mike's. I bought the car without any shocks. Now I am waiting (impatiently) to find a place with either the stock links or dog bones in stock. I am still on the fence as which one to go with. Dog bones are easy and last with minimal maintenance...

    Distributor Lower shaft

OK. I punched out the pin and ta da.....nothing. Still couldn't get them apart. I went with option 2. I took a hack saw and cut it in two. I made sure there were no burs on the upper shaft before pulling it out. I cleaned it out to the point of making my hands hurt. I installed the new (drilled)...

    Distributor Lower shaft

Hey guys! I'm trying to sort out my distributor. It was running good when disassembled, but why not make it right, right? I'm amazed on how vague the Mechanics Handbook is. There is about 1/4 inch play on the shaft (up and down) and a little wiggle on the lower side to side. Do I need to drill...
