    Sign For My Model "A"

I have a four door and I've always thought: If it was meant to go fast it wouldn't be shaped like a brick. Go around, I'm pedaling as hard as I can! Watch for falling wrenches. You won't move quick when you're 100 either. My 0-60 is maybe.

    Model A pickup at Oshkosh

I liked the deluxe roadster that was next to it. No pictures from me either.

Installing New Brakes - Dragging and jammed

I was able to move the actuating pin freely if the arrowhead shaped wedge is held down. I'll check the rollers this weekend.

Installing New Brakes - Dragging and jammed

Drum off and it doesn't bind. Light inward pressure on a shoe and it binds.

Installing New Brakes - Dragging and jammed

Brakes came from Mike's. I was under the impression they were already arced.

Installing New Brakes - Dragging and jammed

Stuck brake - I tapped the axle pin with a hammer and it unstuck. I still need to find out why, because it can't happen again stopped at a stop sign.

Installing New Brakes - Dragging and jammed

I severely needed new brakes and have been trying to replace them this spring. I'm working on the car more or less alone and I don't have any contact info for anyone who does brakes in my local chapter. I ordered the brakes as a set from a vendor and replaced all 4 backing plates, with the...

    Marvel S. Carburaters

Switched to a marvel and probably will never go back for the reasons stated. It's also complimentary to my higher compression head.

    4dr police car

What could be found as evidence that a car was once a police car? My grandpa always said his/my 30 fordor was once a police car. The only evidence that I have is it came with a police head, and a number of holes in my firewall that if a police car, could have been a horn. It also has two...

    Milwaukee Ford Plant

I've only seen it from the ground, so I assumed apartments given some of the other buildings around it. The braces are very new, probably put up this past year. I certainly hope they were installed for structural purposes, because if they did it for decoration, they really missed the mark...

    Milwaukee Ford Plant

It looks like the upper floors are apartment with ground level storefronts now. Not seen in street view are the braces that have been added to the exterior. Breaks the lines and makes it quite ugly now.

    ID Trunk

Is anyone able to identify this steel trunk? Who made it and when? What would the original color have been, same as the car? Correct interior materials, colors, and structures?

    help dowshift 3rd to 2nd

The manual itself says go directly and immediately from third to second without pausing or double clutching. I find it only works that way at speeds under 20 mph. Otherwise double clutch.

    engine vibration part 2

Couldn't tell you. Inherited it that way. If I had to guess, as old as the restoration, 30 ish years.

    engine vibration part 2

I went from a squished front and rear float motor back to stock and found I had significantly less vibration. The old floater pucks were crushed about 1/2 way and rock hard. The stock mount has rubber between the bracket and frame as the insulation, and the bolts shouldn't be cranked tight. I...

    Windshield wiper line install

It looks like my old line is in the wrong place then. I can pull it out rather easily from either end. I attempted to pull a new line this way but could not round the corner and didn't want to break the pull line. Run correctly, it goes between the moulding and the A pillar? The moulding ends...
