I have an engine done by this same person and had a bad vibration problem and pulled the rods. No oil grooves and one rod was 21 grams heavier than the rest. I hope my mains have grooves. Its my fault to some extent since I assembled the engine so had no recourse. We don't need this in our...
Change to above bud vase collection above: There are 37 vases instead of 35. Additional pictures attached. Price lowered to $3300. PM me if interested in collection. Joe Young, Slapout, AL

In addition to my post #10 above. After a light clean up cut on my new cast drums, these shoes fit the drums perfectly without having them arced. The only thing I did was bevel the ends of the shoes with a file.
This might save money by eliminating this procedure and trying to find an arcing...
I've had good results with Hard Bonded Woven Linings on my new cast iron drums. The source I used for the linings is below. You can ship 8 shoes in a USPS flat rate box. They will remove the old linings, clean and install the woven bonded lining. Cost for 8 shoes is $116 plus shipping. I have no...
I am lucky enough to have a friend in the sand blast business. He uses nothing but black beauty and I get it from inside his large indoor blasting building. Fill up 5 gallon buckets and strain through window screen. The air supplied hood is a must if you do much blasting and it won't fog up. I...
Rode Blue Bird buses for 12 years of public school. Picture of my first grade bus in 1944. Don't know the make of chassis. It had a long seat down each side by the windows and a double wide seat down the middle.

Like your wheels, but I tried something different. Made an electric wheel rotator using a grill motor. The speed is just right and you can get paint in all areas without runs. Can do one each day by sandblasting, prime with 2k primer and paint 2 hours later. Used Dupont Centari enamel which...
Not confined just to the Model A, but original bud vases are hard to find. I started collecting them 40 years ago and have 37. Some are pairs and some with brackets. If someone would like to post a picture for me send PM. Thanks, Joe Young Slapout, AL
My Grandfather came to Montgomery, AL in 1912 from Kentucky and started his milk business. Don't have any other pictures. There is one like it at the Jack Daniels distillery In TN. I am a Model A man, so don't know the year of the "T". Joe Young Slapout, AL

Just finished installation of upholstery from Lee Chatterton in my late '31 delux tudor. Am VERY pleased with it and his willing to help. Will post some before and after pictures of the 5 year restoration soon. Joe Young, Slapout, AL.
About 60 years ago when I was 12 years old, I had what we called a cut-down car. It was a Model A with only a cowl and a wooden seat. I would drive it around the farm and tinker with it. One day I did something wrong and my Father removed the distributor rotor button to ground me. I used a...
