I'm sure that "repo" horns sold by Snyders, Mikes & Etc will sound good. But why not stick about $100- 125 dollars in your pocket and go to a Model A swap meet and get an original, there are many too choose from.
I always like to use original parts when I can, but don't be afraid of the repo side arms, I've had a repo on my car for 35 years and 40,000 miles without any problems. Just my thoughts.
Recently I had the same problem, turned out that the wire off of the output stud got hooked on one of the fields, I got an old button hook and snagged the wire and in two minutes I could adjust the brush down to "0".
Not to add to the confusion, but I had a '29 with one 17ga. rear fender and one 19ga. fender. The 17ga. seemed that it weighed twice that of the other one. Always thought it might be an old aftermarket from Western Auto or some place like it.
I think I have everyone beat when it comes to 600W, a couple years ago I had a 5 gallon metal pail of 600W that was almost empty, wanting to save space I put 1 gallon into a plastic milk carton, set it on the shelf and forgot about it until the plastic split and dumped the whole gallon that was...
There's probably something wrong or will go wrong with everything made by man, anybody want to guess how many Ford Fusion's will be on the road in the year 2101?
I remember when they used Butane as the propellant in spray cans, it didn't take much to blow them up! Just set them on the space heater for a few moments too long and WOW! What a mess!

Brent & Terry, thank you for your response, after working Model A's for 60 years I always thought Ford did a pretty good job with the Model A, but I think they missed with this windshield design.
Thanks again.
We have a E-28 (Left hand brake) Roadster Pickup truck, our problem is the windshield that was sold to us for '28/29 open cars seems to be too short. Without the bottom weatherstrip in there is about 1" gap between the frame and the cowl/dash. With the weather strip in place the rubber hardly...
The best way to go is with a copper head gasket, sprayed with Copper Coat, and most important, torque the head down in increments starting at 35# then 45# and then 55#, unless you have grade 8 studs and a good block then to 60# hot.
This works for me with a 8.5-1 head.
Wanted to buy, a 28-29 open car windshield frame with or without glass, painted or chrome, have a '31 Deluxe Roadster windshield frame, chrome
in excellent condition for trade or sale.

Three Stromberg carbs, one 97 and two Merc, all 100% complete, no cracks, dents or extra holes, two of them need new accel. pumps which are included. There may be repo screws on the choke linkage. They all have been soaked in carb cleaner and are excellent shape. I did not replace all of the...
About 40 years ago I bought 3 Taylor IXL piston/rod aligners new in the original wood crates, since they were new in the crates I thought I could use one of them for Model A-B engine work, after opening one of them I discovered the crank pin fixtures were too small for Model A's, this assembly...
