Yes the c59a runs fine despite a crack between a intake valve seat and the bore in cylinder 7.

I can get a 8ba short block without the distributor. But I have a c59a engine complete. I also think the crab with its HT cabling looks far more athletic in my opinion.. just saying.

That engine looks like a earlier motor withe the water outlets in the center of the heads.

I'm thinking the timing cover and the gears from my c59a would need to swapped over

How to straighten a model T exhaust manifold.

Yes I'm inclined to think the fuel mixture is too lean. I reassembled the carb and reset the mixture to the ford T service book which said 7/8th-1 turn. Previously had it set to 1.5-2 turns with no real issues. It's amazing that such a small adjustment can have an enormous effect.

My 26T exhaust pipe was glowing red. Any ideas why? Regards Kevin

Hi Mart.. take the soft option. You could look at metal spraying the trust surfaces of the bearings. Then mill or sand them to suit. I like Brian's idea. Just a thought. Regards Kevin

Hi All.. I put some grease on the gearbox tail shaft where the universal slides on tas it seems a tad dry. But there is still a boinging going on when I move the truck in reverse. Only happens once as I move off. My hearing isn't what it used to be but I'm sure it's coming from the back end now...

Hi Terry.. I installed new bearings, synchro cones, good synchro sleeve and replaced 2nd gear. Selectors are the same. It used to jump out of 2nd but not any more. The boing noise sounds more like a bell. Only does it when changing direction. It did it before the rebuild..
