ON the champion 3X spark plugs in the 1930 model-A's, did they use a copper washer or another metal?

were the 3x spark plug washers on the new 30 model-a's copper or a silver metal?

Thanks Joop. Lived in Tucson 1965-68. Loved Arizona, but all our families were in the east. We had a great stay though from "65-"68.

Was the washer copper colored or silver colored in 1930 on Champions 3X spark plug?

would the 3x's be better to use than the automate 3076 in snide high compression head?

no I didn't. Had my old motor rebuilt and they did a great job.

having some maintenance done on my car and they noticed the steering gear box was low on oil so they topped it off with oil. now it is probably about 1/2 oil and 1/2 grease. One of the comments I had seemed to think a mixture would be ok. will let you know when the "A" comes home

Hello Mister Moose, Thanks for your reply. Put the grease in about 4 years ago. So far the A still steers good , I have no leaks, and the lights all work good. I'm 86 so I think it will work ok for me.

Is it alright to use grease in the 1930 model-a steering box instead of 600wt oil?
