    1929 Model A Tudor

1929 Model A Tudor. Restoration was done in the 90’s. Its starting to show its age a little but still looks good. Interior is in very good shape. Runs and drives well. Details of what i know about the restoration are found in the last 3 pictures. All stock except for the weber downdraft...

    1929 model A Tudor value

Carburetor is just the weber downdraft kit that is available through most of the large vendors. The brakes were all redone in the mid 90’s when the car was redone. They have been adjusted and seem to work well. The front end components themselves seem to be tight but i am curious if the steering...

    1929 model A Tudor value

I just wanted to upload some pictures so maybe i can get a better idea on what its worth. Its a older restoration that is starting to show its age. We all ask what is considered a restoration. I know the car was completely disassembled. All parts were painted, any rubber or bushings were...

Can somebody shed some light as to what these people are thinking?

All good points. I guess right when i seen the videos i was picturing myself taking my model A through some mud holes. I think i’ll keep my A on the asphalt and save the mud for my atv’s. Dont get me wrong, it does look like fun. Id rather use your model A to do it though.

Can somebody shed some light as to what these people are thinking?

Oh it definitely looks like fun. I guess i was just surprised to see it being done with nearly 100 year old cars.

Can somebody shed some light as to what these people are thinking?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JSDQ4BcIiWc I have seen several trials videos online that involve old cars. This is the first one i have seen with model A’s. Im all about doing what you want with what is yours and i would never tell any of these cars owners that they shouldnt do this, but why do...

Anyone running a quiet 6v electric fuel pump?

I have my pump mounted underneath the car on the frame rail. I can clearly hear the pump over the car idling. Are the airtex pumps quiet?

Anyone running a quiet 6v electric fuel pump?

I have a 29 tudor with a downdraft weber. I figured more people in this forum may be running fuel pumps. Anyways, ive got a 6v carter vein pump that works great but is obnoxiously loud. Does anyone have experience with a 6v pump that is good quality and quiet? I see macs sells one but i dont...

Anyone running a 6v fuel pump that is quiet?

Wondering if anyone knows of a good 6v fuel pump that is quiet when it is running? I installed a carter vein pump to feed my weber downdraft. It works great and the car runs great but the pump is obnoxiously loud. Its gotta go. I see macs has one for around $55. Is it quiet? Any better than the...

    I'm not a Model A person

Pictures look nice. I got my A last fall and have about 1500 miles on it since the salt has washed off the roads. Im still grinding gears occasionally. Ive found that its a lot easier to shift smoothly if you keep the rpms on the low side. You’ll get a feel for it and be able to start shifting...

If the car in his avatar is the car that he is working on, id say it has gone under some sort of restoration already. I think its a little early to say that he needs a restoration. Im thinking it has probably been restored but not sorted. We all have different views of what a restoration...

Another trick worth trying to confirm its fuel related. Get a can of ether/starting fluid. Remove the air filter from your carb (if you have a air filter). Start your engine. When the engine starts to die, give the intake of the carb a shot of ether. If you can keep the car running with shots of...

You probably dont need to replace the carburetor. Likely just needs to be disassembled and cleaned. Rebuild kits for these carbs are relatively inexpensive and easy to do. The books you have should guide you through the process. You do need to know which carb you have though, so you get the...

    I'm not a Model A person

I had a similar issue with mine when i first got it. I found that the screen inside of the gas tank was plugged with scale/rust. I ended up removing the gas line from the carburetor and blowing air back into the tank to get the junk pushed off of the screen. It hasnt had that issue since. If you...
