I found a seat bottom and rear on the local classifieds, drove 2hrs and picked it up. It is better than my milk crate, has upholstery and springs! I have the wedge shaped bit secured to the floor, but how is the seat frame attached to it, and the rear secured to the car? My A has a long way to...

Dont suppose you could measure the rear hoop, that sits at the 45* angle? thats what I'm missing, and i can probably scabriacte a useable one if I had dimensions.

The car is definitely not getting a $5K top. It will be lucky to get a $500 top. At some point it got a barnwood roof with copper trim. Id like the added headroom the original style top affords, and the wooden roof is rotting away now.. Something 'period correct' and in the style of the car...

Well, now that I have that sorted....Here's a stupid question..Where in the transmission is brass? My trans now is grouchy and refuses to hold oil, and in the drippings is a metric butt load of brass. :( I pulled the plug, and I thought i had struck gold! poor ole gal.

Pan back on, took her for a couple mile cruise, aside from getting stuck in the snow she seemed to be ok with her new Generator, oil pan seals and patched rad!! :)

Well, built the oil pump holder, pulled pan..glad I did...about 1/2" of....well, goo in the bottom of the pan. old crusty pan gasket was a leak waiting to happen. I'll clean it all up tonight. Should I stick the pan on before doing the rope and front cover then? Anything I should correct with...

I think I'll drop the pan and do the seal and gasket tonight. as for the transmission....Some guy was overzealous when taking her for her shake down run and filled the transmission to the bottom of the threads....probably 3qt of oil in it....and it only calls for 1 pint....sooo that is probably...
