Car was restored 38 years ago and 22k miles those tires are worn down as well as cracks on the side wall. So those need replaced, and we all know how much tires are now.

This swap meet had very little Model A parts.

I had my Burtz engine components professionally balanced. It wasn't perfect but, it is now.

Have that flywheel and pressure plate balanced. You might also give the valves a clearance check.

Why the dislike of the 7 tooth steering gear? A 2 tooth might have a few more adjustments but, steering effort is about the same. I going to rebuild my 7 tooth in the next month or so.

Didn't they use the short pump for the double BB trucks with a thicker radiator? I think I have one of those short pumps somewhere amongst my spare parts.

I'm dealing with this issue now myself with my BURTZ block. The modern valve kit sold by all the suppliers part number 6505M the valve guides are too small. Even knurling did not produce acceptable fit. My machine shop is going to procure some bronze guides and fit them into the block.

Dave, you might look into the BURTZ cylinder head 6.5 to 1 and the BURTZ camshaft 340 lift and more duration. A Model B carburetor and manifold would be an improvement over stock. The clutch is whatever your left leg desires.

I just finished putting new kingpins and bushings in my car and I used the wheel cylinder hone to put the finishing touch on it.
