You can use a metric needle roller inner race conversion ......, I'll put my "white boffins" coat on &do some some research one of our members here in Melbourne Australia has done such a conversionh &has done/run thousands of KM'S without any breakages damage or failure! :).

The side with the lip&spring is what goes into the axle housing /wheel hub if it's up side down it'll leak as there's no surface for the shaft/hub to rub onto or for the lip of the seal to fit/rub onto .....

I hope the oil seal is A1 (leather lipped)?......, as they're kinder to older metalurgy&lubricants then modern neoprene rubber oil seals &are less prone to leakage BUT you have to &must soak in light engine oil 1st before installing otherwise they'll wear the shaft as leather as well as neoprene...

The chinese 88107AR SHOULD be an EXACT/PRECISE/SAME dimensions&type btw/fyi: the width of a 88107AR is .9843 (25mm) your chinese 88107AR SHOULD be that overall width....., if not then there'll be a gap between where the bearing&collar sits on the axle not too mention the rear axle inner oil...

I'd personally return it & get C&G to supply the correct right type of bearing , It appears&seems that they only supplied a generic ball bearing in the same dimensions BUT/EXCEPT the CORRECT&RIGHT rear wheel bearing is nearly 26MM W (wide) so there'll be a gap between where the sandwhich plate...

H/D axle &convertibles&wagons use 88128-R they're a larger size bearing &locking collar/retainer/shrink ring as is the rear wheel oil seal.

Yes same grease doesn't matter WHAT type of bearing (s) you're lubricating with the exception of fully rubber sealed bearings they DON'T need grease as they're packed from the factory with grease......

TIMKEN wheel bearing grease by the company who supplies(d) FORD as OEM tapered roller bearings WHO better to make a grease than the company that makes bearings?!......

There's a bearing&plastic sleeve that the bearing fits/sits inside so as not to wear the shaft, There's also a conversion kit that uses a rubber housing &bronze bush here's the ford part number : 51A-3517-A, IMHO&HO (honest&humble opinion) i'd go with the bearing&plastic sleeve as a bronze bush...

Despite an incorrect comment about the kind/type of grease TIMKEN THEMSELVES list/mention it as being suitable for both DRUM&DISC brakes....... straight from the horses mouth!......, you CAN'T USE GREY colored grease (same grease used for chassis/steering/suspension components) in wheel bearings...
