Water can get behind some of the covered areas with any of the adhesive type sound mats. You may want to look into some of the truck bed roll on/ paint brush liner systems. They will take a large amount of the sound transfer away. The thicker the system/application the quieter it will be. John

Thanks everyone for all the input.. I measured the bed and it has been shortened 11.5". Where would be a good source for the 2 main rails for a 34 pickup? The current frame is in poor shape between the rust and scary modifications. Thanks again for the direction. John

It is said to be a 33-34. with a shortened model A bed. As stated in the other thread I am not out to hot rod another stock vehicle just trying to save some history. Thanks for any help and direction. John
