i visited this in the mid 60s it was near pottstown Pa i have some pictures i took back then he must have died just before i got there,because this is exactly how it looked he had bins of motometers,quails and other hood ornaments everything was for sale i wanted that 32 tudor facing the street...

if they look different ,they may be for the wrong year 28-29 are different than 30-31

with the instrument panel photo it can be a late 30 or 31 with the split splash apron,it can only be a 30 tom

some of the earlier shocks have a smaller shaft

always use the correct grease its called water pump grease i used to use a clear(amber) water pump grease and it was more like wax otherwise ordinary chassis grease will coat the inside of your radiator and block and impede the heat transfer

it appears he has a 30-31 radiator shell in his avatar there is no way in hell you can interchange the two caps

thank you for the replies since they are forgings ,I think the dies would have to be different Im very familiar with the Model A size,but have maybe ten of the smaller size ,and have been told they were early V8 and i have no idea what the early V8s used how do i get a hold of roys book? thanks Tom

I have been cleaning some shock absorber bolts and found several i dont know which car/year they fit the first and largest head is obviously a model A,but what do the two smaller sized headed bolts fit ive got several different guesses .several have suggested early V8s used the smaller head...

well said Vince nothing constructive the JS needs all the help it can get it pissed me off to buy blueprints,engineering releases and thousands of dollars worth of parts and find out later ,someone else had each of the items i was searching for but wouldnt give it (volunteer it ) to me big...

IF you have to remove the head bolt to remove the cable make sure you drain the water from the radiator and block IT WILL LEAK PAST THE HEAD BOLT

be aware that some early 30s had some bolts holding the side of the band to the firewall ,in addition to the bottom ones
