Ok here’s the update. Decided to take the bolt back out for peace of mind because I had no idea what torque was put on with impact. Removed radiator to be able to get at it again with impact. A few raps and it came off no problem. No damage to bolt threads or anything. But a dap of blue loktite...

8BA Flathead Ford Crankshaft Pulley Install

Well I put torque wrench up to 70 ft pounds and clicked immediately. I know it is tight enough put my concern is that it’s over torqued and if that’s harmfull. I decided to try and take it off to reinstall and locktite at a torque but can not budge it with breaker bar! Car in park and wheels...

8BA Flathead Ford Crankshaft Pulley Install

Thank you for the reply! I do of course have a good torque wrench but not sure of best way to stop motor from turning over as attempt to torque. 8BA Flathead Ford Crankshaft Pulley Install

I’m wondering if anyone can put my mind at ease (or into turmoil)… I removed my crankshaft pulley, painted and reinstalled. My concern is if I did anything damaging. I removed the retaining bolt easily with an electric impact. Then a little rubber hammer tap and elbow grease and the pulley came...

    8BA Flathead crankcase breather tube

"So I am putting the mechanical pump on at rear, oil fill breather at front stock location, and have road draft tube in stock location. all is well yes? just need the missing internal tube." Late intake being used 1950 ford flat head with 49-51 Offenhauser intake. If you block both holes at...

Are these internal tubes difficult to remove? Does anyone have experience with this?

    8BA Flathead crankcase breather tube

Yes so... if only an electric fuel pump was used (no mechanical) the pump stand at the rear should have a oil fill/breather or the oil fill/breather could also be at the original front location with the delete plate where pump goes. Correct? So I am putting the mechanical pump on at rear, oil...

    8BA Flathead crankcase breather tube

100% it’s an electric fuel pump, but that does not eliminate the problem of incorrect breathing.
