I'm looking for the interior trim pieces that surround the inside of the windshield .I think there are two pieces at the top and one on each side. It's for my 1936 3 w coupe I called allfordparts.com and they were helpful but at $525USD for the top pieces alone, it's way out of my retired person...

    1936 ford two piece fenders

I have a 1936 3w coupe. There is a stainless welting that goes between the smaller part of the fender and the larger fender. I call it welting for lack of a better word. It is formed to fit between the fender rather than regular welting where you have to wiggle it in. Is this something that is...

Installing door glass in '40 pickup

Thanks Kube. I will give that a try. I watched the youtube Robert provided. Thank you. The only difference is I have about a 12X12 opening in my '40 door and the video shows a door with a huge opening. Getting my huge mitts in the 12X12 opening is a bugger.

This is also posted in Jalopy Journal........... Looking for some advice. I'm trying to install the door windows in my '40 Ford pickup. I have the regulator installed in the door already. 1940 Pickup tail lights

I thought you might be interested in a picture of the truck. this is just before I gave it a full coat of high built primer. Since this, I have taken the cab off the frame again. I was painting the primer in my pop-up portable garage. In a recent wind storm, the wind pulled it from the anchors...

Thanks for the advice. I have a rear bumper but now I need to get the brackets that hold it to the frame. These trucks never look finished without the bumper.

    1940 Pickup tail lights

I installed the tail lights with the bolts that hold the lower hinge on the tailgate. It worked like a charm. In the picture you can see a brand new reproduction tailgate. Of course it needed a little massaging to fit.

    1940 Pickup tail lights

I will be putting my pickup back together soon. Since I'm using a new frame and new box, I need to figure out where to mount the tail lights. Does anyone have a picture they could send? Also need to figure out what to do about front turn signals. At this point, I don't plan on running a front...

    Yet another MACS experience !

I've been buying parts from Mac's since 1990. Only once have I been disappointed. That is once out of at least 50-75 orders. Plus it's super handy for me to run across the border to pick up parts without having to pay shipping.

    Repairing a 1940 truck grille

I'd love to buy a Drake but with the Canadian dollar tanking, a $700USD grille would cost me $910CDN plus shipping plus taxes. A friend was telling me I should be able to braze the broken parts.

    Repairing a 1940 truck grille

Yes, it's 40 pickup, not a big truck. I didn't realize the grilles were all diecast. I think I will try your method of using the L brackets. Would you have a picture?
