My 1928 truck has a rattling front bearing under the fan pulley.You can grab the fan and wiggle it excessively. What oil should be used in a 1928 transmission. i pulled the plug and it is only half full. Should i add some or drain and refill. What is that oil??????

This is not what my drive looks like. the bolt that you cut the head off is the same as the other bolt, and it is obvious that it has been impacting something possibly on the back side of the flywheel.

Turns out the starter was jammed somehow. We finally got the starter off and the engine is fine. Tested the starter and it is also fine. Put starter back on truck and away it went like before. what an answer to prayers. Not quite sure what the starter issue is.

I am replacing the sparkplugs in the truck and noticed the old spark plugs did not have the metal washer/gasket on them. Should the metal ring be on the plugs or not?
