    Bucket seats

I think you're also going to find that the Mustang seats are going to put your rear on the floor unless you build seat risers to make up the height. Been there, done that.

    pinto engine on model A

Don't confuse the Pinto 2.0/2.3 with the 2/3's of a Falcon 2.3.... Ford Sierras and Merkurs used the Pinto engine to good effect. Kent motors (Cortina and first year Pinto) have their advantages but hauling a Pinto around is a strain on 1600cc (roughly 48 cu inches?)....

    The forgotten 1960 Fords

The tail of another '60 is behind the El Camino hulk, red, center top. rough looking paint. No rust to be seen... lots of straight chrome

Patina makes this too good to restore?

Do what's right and stop the rust, if nothing else. I think it cries out for restoration myself.

    IL-2 and AA collison

Indeed. Hard to say what outfit, given his advanced age and weight (for the era; most combat GI's were barely in their 20's and had to be fit). Probably in his late thirties, and possibly a retread from WW1. Maybe Military Police, although he -should- be wearing armbands and stripe on helmet...

    IL-2 and AA collison

That second photo isn't Red Army captives; rather; conscripted Eastern European and Mongolian troops in Wehrmacht uniforms. They wouldn't fare well once turned over to their countrymen....... Ivan often shot returned prisoners for cowardice and to negate the possibility of them bringing home any...

Man; the last two days have been a nightmare. My left knee is hurting something awful and won't take any strain at all; right knee is only slightly better, no pain to speak of but also won't take any weight. I may have to radically rethink my goal of having a driver A if it's to remain stock...

    The forgotten 1960 Fords

My first authentically "old" car was a '60 Starliner I bought when I got back from overseas in 84... 352 2v, cruise, set of T-bird polycast mags; white with a blue interior and black center roof.... my shipmates called it the "Batmobile" despite it being the wrong color, etc... all I have of it...

Even Home Depot carries decent hardwood, at a price, of course... I also have a forty-five year old stock blank cut from the walnut tree that was on my Great-Grandfather's farm that I intend to put to use... if I'm careful and do my math right, I might be able to get two bottom rails out of it...

I wish I could remember all the ephemera I learned when my Dad was working on his A's; I think I learned to read from Floyd Clymer. At one time I could spout off chapter and verse on the running changes.... the sheer amount of what I've learned just reading through the back threads here makes...

Can't remember what my old username was, too many changes in service, etc. Was last here farting around with a '56 Fairlane tudor that I eventually gave up on. Currently farting around with a '63 1/2 Galaxie Sport Roof with a 289-2v 3sp MT. ANYWAY; Lost my Dad back in January of 2017 and with...
