    21 stud stroker engine.

Ronnie, thank you for verifying that Scat have fixed their crank to allow it to fit into the block. I was banging my head against a brick wall trying to get them to acknowledge they'd made [my] one wrong...

    Distributor set up help

Are they genuine Ford points or aftermarket? As Kurt said, unequal wear on the rubbing blocks could cause this. You can reverse those points, if you reverse them, what happens to your numbers? I know with the later points style, it is damn hard to find good quality that enables correct dwell to...

    21 stud stroker engine.

Basically, if you want to retro fit a 255 crank into the 21 stud block, you'll need to perform the following operations; shorten the snout and reduce the diameter to suit those of a 21 stud crankshaft. Reduce the main bearing journals to 2.399 to suit the 21 stud block, BUT, you'll also need to...

    21 stud stroker engine.

Yeah, I'm running a Scat 4"stroke crank in a 37 block with 3 3/16 pistons; 255 cu in. The Scat crank as supplied, did not fit the block, I had to widen the front and centre main bearing journals. And not all the rod journals were centred to the cylinder bores. Numerous emails back and forth to...

I dunno, I've always considered my car to be worth more as parts if I was to sell, than as a fully complied, road legal auto. Such a shame.....

    Kudos

There is a member on here Krylon32, who gives a 10% discount on the retail price of Boling Bros repo Lincoln Bendix brakes to fordbarn members. These are the finest bolt on brakes you can fit to an early Ford V8, they duplicate the Bendix brakes as fitted to Lincolns of that era. They are self...

21 Stud cylinder head with unique combustion chamber.

How do they perform? In my application, they are all right. However, my application is a 255 cu in 21 stud...when I had Eddie Meyer heads on it, it had too much compression; detonated to hell! I fitted these to overcome that on account of their lower compression. I am unable to advise how they...

21 Stud cylinder head with unique combustion chamber.

the reason I'm running them is because when I was looking for cast iron heads, every left hand factory head I located was cracked!! RH heads were all crack free...dunno why. I located set of NORS heads in Australia, so am running them.

21 Stud cylinder head with unique combustion chamber.

They are aftermarket, the name of the manufacturer eludes me for now. They also used the same configuration for dome top pistons; simply domed tthe heads. That is why the combustion chamber is shaped like that; to lead into the dome...same castings. I run these same [flattop] heads on my current...

See? Straight away you've found better, much better candidates to rebuild than the 59A boat anchor!!! and they'll still cost a packet to rebuild, but considerably cheaper and more reliable than your other lump of iron...
