Lawson, i just checked my 36, on the slanted part of the bed there are 4 holes, right where your pic shows the brace, however no holes in the bed sides, both sides of the bed are the same --according to the original owner this was bought in May of 36.

Lawson do you have a picture of it ? i have a nice original 36 pickup.
