Hello, I'm having trouble re-installing the ignition switch. The manual said to pry off the bezel and turn the switch body 1/8th turn and pull it out from behind. But now, when I go to re-install it, I cant get the switch to rotate enough to lock into place. I'm afraid to put too much torque...

I want to replace the wiring in my 1950 sedan. I'll be keeping it stock with the 6 volt positive ground. For those who have done this, is it best to remove the dash to remove and install that part of the new harness, or will that open up a whole new can of worms?
