    Undercoating would like your comments.

Back in 1981 when we were doing over our 1929 Sport Coupe we had it under coated. The undercoating has really held up. No rust at all on frame or under fenders. Fenders, and running boards were coated off the car. Has anyone else done this. Also, what comments do you have on it having been...

    Bone Stock or Modified?

What and why? I have for many years wondered why some Model A owners feel the call to add all kinds of things to their cars. I’m a stock from the factory guy. No jewelry or speed parts. Honest question. What do you guys like to see and why? I don’t think there is a right or wrong answer...

Just took a ride in the 29.

You know, even after 60 years of driving these things, it still puts a smile on my face to go out for a drive. My wife heard the Model A start up and came running out to go along. I can’t take our grandson out for his annual summer runs, he lives in Atlanta and because of the virus isn’t...

    Distilled Water?

I have always used tap water in our cars with rust inhibitor. Last year we tried distilled water with rust inhibitor. When I drained it out last fall the water was really rust colored. In past years, with tap water and inhibitor, color of water would be milky white. What are you thoughts on...

Bert’s Model A Center. The Place to “GO”.

Bert’s Model A Center. The Place to “GO”. Last week I was placing a small order with Steve Becker at Bert’s. I don’t know why I started out by asking Steve if there could be a chance he had an original passenger side lower landau bracket for a 1929 Sport Coupe. He said, let me check and I...

Happy 90 years old 6/18/29 firewall cars.

Our 1929 Sport Coupe has a firewall date of June 18, 1929. That’s today. I know it doesn’t mean that was the date of the cars assembly, but for me it’s close enough. Happy birthday to all the 6/18/29 cars out there. Our engines approval date is 6/15/29. So there close. Numbers matching...

    Good info on cooling system.

I have only been a member of this forum since March of last year, but during this time I have read many good questions being asked on our cars cooling system. After 60 years of being involved with Model A Ford’s, I have accumulated a lot of information. I would recommend anyone who has an...

    Rear axel torque

After reading a tread yesterday I took off both rear wheels on our 29 to check nut tightness. Both were loose, retorqued to 100. My point. Don't assume, as I did, they are OK. I had a flat left rear two years ago. Took tire off to fix and checked nut at that time. It was OK. I was fat and...
