I read a post about upgrading the stock A mechanical brakes to a 35 mechanical brakes but I cant find the post again. I was curious to know what is all involved in the conversion process and if there is much gain to this upgrade.

I am looking to correctly identify my model A. I found an engine number of A-8506. I am not positive if this is the original engine. The plate on the firewall is unreadable. I was wondering if there are any other locations where i could find an identification number?

I am newbie, just starting my first Model A project and had a question related to rim liners. I just purchased new tires and tubes but was wondering if i am required to use rim liners on the wheels? They are 21 inch wheels off a 29.
