How do those clamps come off, I'm getting new clamps and a new center bolt. Can I just cut them off ? And what do I need to do when they are striped down.

I thought i would give the brakes a once over today,I did it by the book and made the brake board. But I can't get the rear passenger side to lock up when I have the board on the third notch, its tight but not locked. I can't lock the wheel up on the brake adjuster even without using the brake...

With my foot pressed hard to the floor there is still a bit to go at the carb end. What can be done to achieve full throttle ?

What's the routine to get to check this small gear at the gearbox end and to remove it. My inner cable is not moving, it is a new one.

Every now and then my starter will engage and stay engaged spinning the engine over. I had it retarded at the time but had been starting it up a fair bit before checking other stuff. Only way i could stop it was to put it in gear and let the clutch out quickly staling the engine i suppose...

I'm chewing up the end of the handle while trying to line it up, can i move that bracket that the handle goes through?

The left side of the junction box has the wire from the ammeter (Yellow) that is all that's on that terminal. Should there be another wire on that terminal. I'm using an electronic ignition 12v neg and an alternator. PS The ammeter doesn't move.

Should the ammeter move a bit to discharge when the headlights are turned on when on idle, mine doesn't move. It looks like a replacement ammeter, the car has a altanator with 12v system. Wiring looks good with checked yellow wire on right terminal of ammeter and yellow checked wire on right...

I have noticed that i am not getting the full movement from one side of the cut out section on the distributor to the other when I move the lever at the steering wheel end. I've read somewhere that the bracket on the steering column has to be loosened and the whole thing turned ? Any advice...

I've just fitted an fs ignition conversion kit. It starts and ticks over on full re-tard, when I advance lever down the engine cuts out. What do I do next, time it again or can I do something with the rotor ?
